Claiming against an insurance policy is rarely a pleasant experience. At best, it’s an unwelcome distraction from the day-to-day business that needs your attention. At worst it can be a time consuming, frustrating and, ultimately, very disappointing exercise.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
People buy insurance so that, when the worst happens, they and their businesses can get back to normal as quickly as possible. The claims process should speed this along by being personal, efficient and stress free and by delivering what the policy wording has led you to expect.
At Windsor, we have never believed that claims are best left to the insurers. When a claim arises, we keep our clients informed and consulted, working with them to resolve claims and, where possible, avoid or mitigate loss by prompt, sensible action.
In particular we have worked closely with our leading insurers to reduce claims handling times and remove potential cash-flow problems for our clients. This has proved of particular benefit to smaller and medium sized companies who might otherwise suffer increased interest charges due to slow claims settlements.
